Continued. After trying lots of remedies the neighbour in the apartment above, banging to stop me snoring (through concrete slab floor)was the incentive to have one more go

I googled a sleep clinic (here in NZ) and arranged for a sleep test. They sent a pulse oximeter which you attach to your finger at night and it reads your heartbeat and oxygen in the bloodI then had an hours appoinment with the Dr from the sleep clinic.$410 or $470 if you wanted a written report to claim Insurance. He discussed the test and like the ear nose etc specialist mentioned before said there were no physical problems with nose ,tonsils etc. The short story is I now have a Fisher and Paykel Icon Nova cpap machine to try out. The trial is $150 and the machine is $1800 all up if I decide to keep it.There is no pressure to buy and I have a free call number to call for advice any time. So 2 weeks on the neighbours not banging on my ceiling anymore so i guess I have stopped snoring. I tried to video myself but it didnt seem to work. Maybe the pillow I threw at the laptop to cover the light didnt help.Just writing this stuff to help anyone to suss out a likely process if they are a snorer but havent done anything about it. Pretty happy with the help from this sleepwell clinic here so I presume aussie has something similar. I saw some one comment on a long process. From my doctors appt to getting a machine was 6 days- 3 off which were weekend and one public holiday.
